Jackson Hogg is pleased to be working with an exciting organisation based in Sheffield in the search for an Operations Manager
The role will have complete control of manufacturing and report into a site MD. Some role responsibilities are listed below:
Leadership and Management of all Operational tasks on site
Management and development of operational staff, including direct workforce
To set manufacturing strategy and develop the manufacturing workforce
Ensure that all operational activities are in accordance with the quality management system
Ensure capacity, capability and workforce flexibility are continually reviewed and actions are taken to meet customer requirements and future business needs
Identify, maintain and communicate daily, weekly and monthly performance measures as required to support business requirements
Delivery of the production plan on time, enabling on time delivery to customers in full
Overall responsibility for all internal manufacturing activity
Person Specification:
Strong continuous improvement implementation experience
Background in high volume manufacturing, ideally electronics
Demonstrable experience at senior management level as a member of a business leadership team
Experience in constructing a new operational organisation and upskilling teams to deploy lean processes
Ability to think strategically, understand complex business/financial data, and develop operational plans and organisational structures
Demonstrated ability to design, deploy and improve operational metrics linked to key financial outcomes
