A&E Crisis Recovery Worker
Location: Milton Keynes
Hours: Full Time - Part time considered
Salary: GBP20,700 FTE (GBP10.76 per hour)
Evenings and/or weekends depending on agreed hours.
This is an exciting opportunity to get involved with a new, innovative project working directly with service users who present at A&E requiring urgent mental health support.
You will work collaboratively with the mental health liaison team and A&E team to deliver one-to-one support using a social approach.
Service delivery
Work alongside the Mental Health Liaison Team and A&E staff to support individuals presenting at MK A&E in a mental health crisis in the evenings/weekends and deliver one-to-one crisis focused support.
Effectively and thoroughly assess levels of risk for people accessing the service.
Take a holistic approach based on the individuals needs and enable individuals to explore the situation affecting their mental health and wellbeing and support them to access the Crisis Caf?? or other services within their local community.
Work with individuals to co-produce a safety plan to address their crisis, based on the persons situation, coping strategies and mechanisms in place.
Bring the expertise and value of voluntary sector to the statutory environment and work in a collaborative and blended way.
Carry out H&S responsibilities as directed by the Assistant Crisis Service Development Manager
Carry out responsibilities as directed by the Assistant Crisis Service Development Manager for collection, updating, monitoring and reporting of service data
To ensure the service delivers outcomes which supports individuals with mental health and wellbeing achieves the services KPIs.
Identify and build good working relationships with the CNWL, community groups, relevant services and activities for partnership work and signposting.
Experience
Working in a small service within a wider organisation, including delivering a service against performance targets.
Using a dedicated database/system for recording of and reporting service data.
Working with, coordinating and supporting volunteers.
Experience of working with individuals experiencing mental health and wellbeing issues
