A new position for a full time Bookkeeper has arisen within a growing SME who design and manufacture their own Hi-tech products which are sold around the globe.
The role is for a company who have a consultative approach and look to generate long term relationships with their customers, and they have a supportive and engaging approach to management with an open-door policy.
They are looking for a full-time Bookkeeper/Accounts to join their team. AAT or ACCA part qualified is a benefit but not essential. Qualified through experience often is equally important and so will also be considered. The role is varied and has aspects of bookkeeping, financial control and administration functions.
What s in it for you:
Salary: Up to GBP30k depending on experience
Hours: 8.30 - 5.00pm
21 days holiday which rises 1 day a year up to 25 days

Key Responsibilities:
Balancing accounts/ Journal entries
Payroll preparation with external accountant (outsourced Payroll processing)
Processing sales invoices, receipts and payments
Completing VAT returns and checks (MTD submission)
HMRC reporting requirements/ Deferment statement processing
Checking company bank statements and Exchange rate management (USD/GBP/EU/CHF)
Preparing cash flow statements. Cash flow reporting and forecasting
Credit control/ Credit check
Bank reconciliations
Preparing financial reports and management accounts
Supplier payments/ Aged Debtors report and action
Petty cash/ Cash advances/ Expenses
Working with and covering for the administration team to provide cover for holidays
Person Specific:
3-5 years experience in bookkeeping and financial management of a small/SME sized company
An ability to work quickly and accurately, good concentration and an eye for detail
An ability to work to deadlines
Good computer skills (especially with databases and financial software Opera 3, MS Excel, XRL), good communication skills
Team player and the ability to prioritise and work autonomously where required
