Quality Checker- Mansfield, Nottinghamshire
Salary: GBP22,000 - GBP24,000 per annum
Various shift patterns available: Regular days, Monday to Friday 9am till 5pm & Continental shifts - 4 on 4 off
Fresh Start Recruitment are currently recruiting for our long standing client, located in the Mansfield area for an additional team member to join their quality department.
Key responsibilities:
Ensure relevant raw materials are sampled in intake
Conduct intake checks
Manage and store correctly raw material samples
Raise supplier non conformance and assist management of the close out of non-conformance
Daily checks of chiller & freezer temperatures, chemical concentration
Calibration of pH meter, temperature probes, viscometers
Raw material sampling/testing as required, ensuring relevant records are kept up to date
Managing non-conformance and quarantined raw materials
Assist in third party visits and audits, participating in the company internal audit programme
Maintain a safe and clean working environment
Key requirements:
Demonstrable experience in a similar role
Previous food industry experience would be an advantage
Strong communicator
Excellent attention to detail
Willingness to learn
