Philanthropy Manager
Salary GBP(phone number removed) DOE
Hybrid Working ideally commutable to MK
We are looking for exceptional people with the personality and drive to build lasting relationships with new and existing donors, encouraging philanthropy across Milton Keynes.
Your role will be to develop, support, promote and create opportunities for community philanthropy by individuals, corporates and community giving. Providing advice and services to donors to maintain and grow their giving in the most effective way. You will also be partly responsible for delivering the grant making programmes, closing the loop by working with donors, distributing grants and then feeding back to our donors on the impact of their donations.

We are looking to recruit two Philanthropy Managers, one full time and one part time.
Full Time: 37.5 hours per week, salary range GBP33,000 to GBP38,000 DOE
Part Time: 25 hours per week, actual salary GBP22,000 to GBP24,500 DOE
Key responsibilities:
To develop relationships with High Net Worth Individuals and develop ongoing support
Develop a legacy giving programme
Research and evaluate new models of philanthropy to be able to develop new philanthropy programmes and products.
Organise events that promote philanthropy
Share knowledge of giving and provide philanthropy and donor advice
Develop and support philanthropy advice relationships:
Understand the local voluntary, community and cultural sector and gain knowledge:
Be an effective grant maker:
The ideal candidate will need the following skills:
Ability to work with a range of donors and provide excellent service.
Ability to research and provide advice on community needs, and approaches to philanthropy, relevant to donors interests and wishes.
Ability to analyse grant applications and make recommendations on them.
Ability to articulate the issues facing the voluntary, community and cultural sector.
Understanding of good team culture
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Good organisation, administrative and report-writing skills
Ability to advocate for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
Enthusiasm, flexibility, and the ability to cope well under pressure.
Willingness to undertake occasional evening/weekend duties
