A brilliant opportunity to join our client, a global market leader, in a newly created role as Data Analyst. Reporting into the Group Performance Improvement Manager, the role of Data Analyst is to work with stakeholders and partner businesses to extract, analyse & share insights from key data relating to Quality, Environment, Health and Safety, Capital, Performance Improvement, and Operations.
As this is a new role you must be comfortable in the creation and delivering of key reports and metrics in formal forums and reports, but also in providing ad hoc, one off specific reports. You will also be partnering with key stakeholders across different businesses within the Group so must be confident in delivering insights formally to a challenging and informed audience.
In the role you will:
Engage with multiple stakeholders to understand their need and appetite for data and insight and agree how and when you will deliver to meet these needs.
Ensure partner businesses are aware of what data is required, why the data is needed and provide simple and secure channels for this to be shared.
Identify and address anomalies and gaps
Build simple straight forward and informative reports and dashboards
Review and recommend changes to data capture and reporting in line with internal and external developments
You will already be working within a complex business to drive appetite for, and understanding of data and insights, which will drive strategic and operational decision making. Your CV will show clearly how you have added value in that role. Ideally with a degree in maths or a highly numerical discipline, and excellent knowledge of key systems including Power BI and Excel.
The role is based full time in Peterborough and you will be fully supported by your immediate team, and wider stakeholders in quickly impacting and adding value. Benefits include:
