We have a brand new opportunity for a Security Guard to join us at our Head Office in Eastwood, Nottingham, working 8:30am - 8:30pm, Saturday and Sunday. At Microlise, we value the importance of our Security team and the role they play in ensuring safety and security of our staff, visitors, building and contents. What you will be doing:
Responsible for patrolling and guarding company premises including both internal and external perimeters and ensuring timely and vigilant surveillance
Assisting the Health & Safety, Facilities Manager, and Facilities team, by informing/reporting any issues with either intruder or fire alarm systems as observed
In the instance of out of hour delivery to good in the security guard is responsible for acceptance of deliveries for the department
Responsible for communicating with the Health & Safety, Facilities Manager on any issues relating to work carried out by the Facilities team
Checking corridors and working areas are compliant with safety working regulations. Keep abreast of chemicals, re cleaning materials used and their overall safety requirements there in
Adhere to best practice working procedures and methods and in line with existing routine, and amendments as required
Contribute to the enhancement of the company s quality standards and the general work environment. This will include identification and recommendation of improved methods of working to aid everyone in the organisation
Working to improve the staff welfare on site such as supporting with COVID provision on site
Deal with out of hour incident and emergency as well as dealing with customer calls/ reception duty out of hours
Complete opening up and closing down process
Working Hours
Saturday and Sunday, 8:30am - 8:30pm.
What we re looking for:
Hold a valid SIA license
Demonstrable experience working as a Security Guard, ideally within a commercial/office environment
Ability to quickly become familiar with different security and best practice working under health and safety legislation
Ability to work on own initiative with minimal supervision
Proactive showing desire to make improvement where and when appropriate
Knowledge of basic first aid practices under health and safety at work processes and procedures
Qualified in First Aid would be desirable, however not essential as we will provide training
