Telecoms FTTP Surveyor

Telent are looking to recruit a Telecoms FTTP Surveyor. If you are an experienced engineer looking to move into a surveyor position or are currently working as a surveyor on the Open Reach Network looking for a new challenge this is an excellent opportunity.

Role Profile

Reporting to the Direct Labour Supervisor you will be tasked to work on major new Telecoms works projects including for Openreach. The focus of the work will be to Survey 3rd party infrastructure to assess and record its suitability and document any proposed network upgrades/installations. Full training dependent on existing accreditations and skillset will be provided.

Typical Deliverables

Safety - ensure that safe working practices are adopted as the top priority for all activities undertaken and that they are supported by all relevant documentation correctly completed.
Quality - ensure you work within the 'right first time' quality culture of TIS and that your work is always compliant to Openreach installation standards.
Complete intrusive surveys on the underground and overhead network to locate blockages and establish clear cable routes.
Assess CBT locations to minimise overhead road crossings.
Taking measurements, digital images as appropriate, recording plant suitability and identifying risks
Owning, executing, and delivering survey requirements within a geographic region.
Liaising with Cable Survey Teams & Coordinating Outputs from those teams.
Liaison with any local authority agents and any other third parties as required
Highlight and escalate major variances to the nominated project lead
Flexible approach in dealing with amendments to allocated information
Ensure Validity & Accuracy of completed survey submissions and work is completed on time and to the plan.
Survey Submissions are uploaded to Openreach 'Orion' system or another client system

Business Operations Skills - Experience

Essential:

Driving licence
Attention to detail and accuracy coupled with a 'can do' attitude.

SA001 & SA002
S011 & S013.
S018 (Spine Survey)
Unit 1 NRSWA (Old02)
Preferable experience of SOLO / Connect / CT Mobile / Orion.
