Architectural Technologist required to join a growing, RIBA chartered Architectural practice based in Leicester city centre.
This is an excellent opportunity for an Architectural Technologist with a proven background in the Residential sector to join a practice that are on the up. An enviable client portfolio along with an established team of Architectural professionals means that you will be working in a driven and ambitious environment.
Due to significant project wins and continual sustainable growth, the practice are now seeking an Architectural Technologist to join their team on a permanent basis. The practice work in varied sectors including Residential, Workplace, Industrial and Commercial Architecture, but this particular role will be heavily focused on Residential work. Therefore, a background working within or alongside housing developers would be highly beneficial when applying to this position.
As an Architectural Technologist you will be joining the practice working as part of a dedicated Technical team, focusing on Residential projects. You will be assisted by Senior Architectural Technologists and the Associate Director in charge of the team, allowing you to develop further in your career as a Technologist. You will be exposed to most RIBA stages, giving you that crucial experience on the way through to becoming a chartered Technologist.
The practice use AutoCAD and Revit software throughout the office. Revit proficiency would be advantageous but not necessarily essential. AutoCAD experience is a must have.
The practice promotes a progressive and modern working environment, and are thus adapting to the new flexible model of allowing the working week to be split between being in office and working from home. There will be the requirement for attending design meetings in the office and on site, so candidates close to the Leicestershire region would be best placed when applying to this role.
Summary of requirements of the Architectural Technologist as follows:
Degree in Architectural Technology or equivalent
Approximately 5-10 years of industry experience.
A wealth of experience working within the Residential sector, ideally in or alongside the housebuilder environment.
Proficiency in the use of AutoCAD with the added benefit of Revit (not essential).
In return, the Architectural Technologist will be offered a salary in the region of GBP30,000-GBP40,000 per annum alongside a competitive benefits package.
