Element has an opportunity for an Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst to join our growing team based at Chapell Cross Power Station, Annan. Our asbestos teams are experts in their field of conducting Asbestos Surveys, Analytical Services, Asbestos Management and Air Testing as well as many other environmental services. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their career in a challenging asbestos environment within a global materials testing business.
Responsibilities
Conducting Four Stage Clearance, Air Monitoring & Fibre Counting duties
Collating and producing sampling information, reports, site plans and any other documentation relevant to activities undertaken
Ensuring quality control policies and procedures are adhered to facilitate maintenance of authorisation status and UKAS accreditation
Participating in quality assurance audit programme
Remaining up to date with asbestos legislation and industry best practice
Maintaining relevant qualification to operate within the asbestos industry
Skills / Qualifications
Significant experience within a UKAS accredited company in Four Stage Clearances and Air Monitoring in a variety of property types
As a minimum BOHS P402, P403 & P404 or equivalent
Good understanding of Health and Safety procedures and legislative guidance in relation to asbestos UKAS accredited practices and procedures
Knowledge and awareness of current trends and developments in the asbestos industry
Logical and structured approach with excellent attention to detail
Flexible attitude with a willingness to travel and stay away from home in remote locations as required
A full UK driving licence is essential
