Graduate IT Administrator

We are currently working on an exciting opportunity for an IT Graduate who is looking to forge a career within the IT Support arena. This role will see you supporting all aspects of IT within a manufacturing environment, to join our client as their Graduate IT Administrator. Located near Stanton, Bury St Edmunds, this is a full-time, permanent role paying a competitive salary and offers a great chance to join a stable, successful business and work in an interesting manufacturing engineering environment.

The Role

This busy, responsible position reports to the Head of IT & Business Systems and involves the day to day running of IT. This is a broad IT and Systems Management role and is vital in supporting the businesses manufacturing capabilities which will include responsibilities such as:

Maintain essential IT operations, including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, Office 365, laptops, desktops, phone systems, MFP, software, PC hardware, Robotic Welders, Laser Machines, Machine Tools and MES

Working with the Head of IT, maintain control and resilience of the systems across a multi-site business

Management of a range of applications responsible for Helpdesk Tickets

Implement and test major system upgrades

Management of ERP solution

Training on new technologies and working on the business to ensure new systems and processes are adopted

Develop and execute disaster recovery procedures, and maintain data backups

Hyper-V virtualisation

Cybersecurity Essentials

ERP system admin/management

SQL Server & SSRS Reporting

Wireless Access Point management

MFA

Firewalls & VPN

Requirements

IT qualification. Degree/HND/HNC.
We would also consider Level 3/T Levels or BTEC qualifications in the IT field

Strong all round IT experience

Excellent Word & Excel skills

Excellent knowledge of Windows 10/11

Good communication skills & the ability to liaise with third party companies

Salary & Hours

This role comes with a salary range of GBP24,000 - GBP30,000 per anum depending on skills, qualifications, and experience.

This is a permanent, employed opportunity working full-time hours (Monday to Friday 8:30 - 17:00 with one hour for lunch each day), our client offers 25 days holiday + 8 bank holidays and pension.
