About us

We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our team. This is a truly unique opportunity to join South Yorkshire Pensions Authority’s friendly and forward-thinking administration and customer services team. We are a growing public sector organisation with a team of around 100 staff who run the workplace pension scheme on behalf of a large number of employing organisations, including Local Authorities and other public bodies, educational institutions and a number of charitable organisations.

About the role

You’ll be joining as part of the customer services team that incorporates the Customer Centre, which is the first point of contact for our scheme members and employers. You’ll deal with customer enquiries via telephone, letter, email and live chat. Your main role will be to deliver a high quality, efficient and effective customer focused service. Responding to enquiries, you’ll analyse and interpret information given by customers accurately to make the appropriate decisions from a range of options. You’ll be actively involved in our digital platform and encouraging our members to engage with our services online.

About you

You are not required to have experience in pensions, you just need to have excellent communication and IT skills, experience of working in a customer service environment, excellent listening skills, an engaging personality and have a basic level of educational achievement equivalent to Level 2.

We are also keen to hear from applicants who do have some previous pensions experience where there is the potential to be appointed above the starting salary shown.
