We are looking for two 1st Line Support Engineers, one based in our Reading office and one based in our Fareham office to start in September.

This role would suit an IT based graduate or apprentice looking to start their IT career. This is an excellent opportunity to learn from highly experienced senior colleagues and progress as their IT skills develop.

Overview of the role:

To provide 1st and 2nd line support across all offices both internally and remotely.
The role will take end to end responsibility to all tickets issued, escalating when needed and contribute to the development and documentation of all IT procedures and processes.
You will assist in all maintenance and relocation of any equipment when required and ensure all projects allocated are completed in a timely fashion.
Role may be require working outside of business hours and or on-call support With us you will be:

Escalating IT issues to more senior members of the IT team where appropriate.
Working with senior colleagues to gain knowledge of solutions and fixes to common issues, documenting processes for internal use and on the helpdesk Knowledgebase.
Helping to diagnose, trouble-shoot and resolve technical IT issues.
Repairing various IT equipment within the office.
Following the onboarding/offboarding process for creating and disabling user accounts in accordance with HR requirements.
Setting up and configuring new laptops, desktops and mobile devices and deploying software to existing ones as required.
Delivering IT inductions and training to new employees.
Ensuring IT Assets are updated on our Asset Management System.
Working with other members of the IT team to help deliver projects within set timeframes.
Role may be require working outside of business hours and or on-call support

Ideally studied a Technical subject at College or UniversityEssential criteria:

Some experience working in a 1st line or similar IT support role, preferably to defined SLAs.
Demonstrable usage of Windows 10 Administration & Support.
Previous use of IT Service Management tools.
Knowledge of group policy, antivirus software administration and any exposure to Microsoft server, virtualization or cloud technologies would be greatly beneficial.
Good understanding of Office 365.
Good fundamental knowledge of Networking.
Works well as part of a team, but happy to take on independent tasks.
Confident to speak to customers both face to face and over the phone.
Pays close attention to detail and takes pride in getting things right.
A proactive and enthusiastic approach, driving continuous improvement.
Eager to learn quickly, driven to gain knowledge and develop skills.
Ability to analyse and solve problems. Desirable criteria:

CompTIA Network+
Any MDM knowledge beneficial.
Exposure to Mobile Deployment.
