Broker Operation Technician, 40K, working for a growing Lloyd's Syndicate
Your new company
Your new company are a leading Lloyd's Syndicate based in the heart of the City and are unique in the sense they operate as a Syndicate, with an Internal Broking Team and have managing agency capacity. Your new syndicate provide both Insurance and reinsurance solutions around the world, with a particular focus on high growth markets and those where Lloyd's have traditionally been underweight. Due to significant growth to the technical team there are now two permanent jobs working as Broker Operation Technicians that have arisen.
Your new role
Your new job working as an Broker Operations Technician means you will be providing Technical support to the Technical manager and as the Broker Operations Technician it will be your responsibility to complete internal broker administration. Your daily duties will include drafting placing documentation to a Market Reform Contract (MRC) standard, Process premium and claims transactions accurately, in accordance with Xchanging requirements, and in a timely manner and complete bank reconciliation to ensure monies received reconcile and paid to syndicate account. You will be responsible for end to end processing, utilising Technical proficiency to support the Technical manager and utilise your working knowledge of central market systems such as IMR, Class, Crystal
What you'll need to succeed
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of a 2/3 years' experience working in the Lloyd's Insurance Market and have a good Knowledge of insurance practices and the market. The ideal candidate can come from a Broker, syndicate where they have an Internal Broking Team or an Insurance subsidiary such as Xchanging where you have had experience of end to end processing of MRC Slips, Endorsements, credit and debit notes. You will have Excellent knowledge of Xchanging processes and procedures, Experience of drafting placing documentation, a solid Working knowledge of London market practice and the Ability to work analyse data and carry out reconciliation. Experience of central market systems such as IMR, Class, Crystal is preferred
