Job Title; Workshop Manager
Salary; GBP40,000 - GBP45,000 per annum
Shift; Monday - Friday - 8:00am - 5:00pm, overtime maybe required during busier times
Location; Rutland
Our client, a prestigious company based in Rutland is currently seeking a Workshop/Production Manager to join a friendly, innovative and growing electrical equipment supplier. The successful candidate will oversee and monitor all processes on site and lead the team to ensure a seamless service to their customers.

The Workshop Manager Role;
Monitor and oversee the work schedule, communicating with various departments from initial concept through to completion
Ensure production targets are being met and meets the customers specification
Customer and supplier liaison as and when required
Oversee budgets, controlling operational costs
Ensuring goods out are leaving the workshop as per the schedule and communicate to commercial team
Implements continuous improvement methods through the appropriate use of such methodologies and applications as Kaizen, Lean Six Sigma, 5S.
Tracking orders and updating on the internal system
Ensure a safe working environment in the workshop and manage the skilled team
Our Ideal Workshop Manager Candidate;
Previous time-served Workshop/Service Manager experience in an electro-mechanical industry environment
Experience in power generation industry desirable, but not essential
Good understanding of 5S and lean principles / Continuous Improvement
Workshop Engineer/Technician career background
Strong people management experience
Strong multi-skilling ability
Knowledge of supply chain management desirable
Attention to detail
Good organisational skills
Strong communicator
Willing to move forward with changes
Ability to lead and develop team members
The Workshop Manager Benefits;
Dependant on skills and experience - salary up to GBP45k per annum
Attractive annual profit share bonus scheme
20 days holiday plus 8 public holidays (increasing with service upto max of 25 days).
