Automotive Electrician / Vehicle Assembler / Conversion Fitter
Location: Ashby-de-la-Zouch - Lount - Newbold area
Starting salary: Up to GBP31,200 pa, depending on skill level, plus overtime rate

Established specialist vehicle conversion company is looking to recruit both full-time Skilled, Semi-Skilled Automotive Electrician / Vehicle Assemblers / Conversion Fitters to join their highly skilled team.
The role includes working with new cars, and light commercial vehicles and successful candidates will be working as part of a team, prepare vehicles for conversion and fit various bespoke fabricated items and assemblies to vehicles for the use by the Emergency Services and other specialist customers, ensuring full compliance with quality and H&S requirements
Automotive Electrician - Key Roles and Duties:
Fit, repair, install and integrate enhanced electrical and electronic systems in motor vehicles
Design and develop electrical solutions for vehicles
Fault finding and rectification.
Skills And Experience:
Essential:
Read and interpret electrical wiring plans and diagrams.
Modify electrical circuits, assess cable sizes and AMP capacity; including loom building and installation, crimping skills including co-axial connections.
Fault finding of vehicle electrical systems and rectification work.
Removal and fitting of seats, panels, roof lining, door cards, interior trim, carpets, switch gear light clusters, bumpers.
Effective verbal and written communication.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team to achieve desired results
Ability to demonstrate high level of engineering industrial standards
Desirable:
Design electrical circuits and wiring diagrams
Programming aux electronic vehicle systems
230 V installation experience.
Install, commission analogue and digital radio systems
Telematics installation and commissioning
Hybrid and electric vehicle awareness training level 1
Qualifications:
NVQ level 2 (or min 3 years automotive electrical experience)
Desirable:
Hybrid and electric vehicle awareness training level 1
230V qualification
Salary:
GBP22,000 to GBP31,200 pa plus overtime rate, depending on skill level - Good hours available.
Hours: Monday to Thursday: 8.30am to 5.00pm and Friday 8.00am to 2.00pm - 40 hours
Location: Ashby-de-la-Zouch - Lount - Newbold area
