Job Title: Risk Operations Manager
Location: Birmingham or Telford
Salary: GBP50,000 - GBP60,000 per annum + bonus + excellent benefits
Type: Permanent
A FTSE 100 Insurance Company with offices in Birmingham or Telford is recruiting a Risk Operations Manager to join their company on a permanent basis. The main focus of the role is to coordinate the development and improvement of the Group Risk Functions operational output and capacity. The role is ideally suited to someone with prior experience working in a role relating to governance, risk and/or compliance. This could be in a change, project or risk environment.
Responsibilities:
Coordinating the development of the Group Risk Function Mission, mandate and plan
Work with the Group Risk Leadership Team to ensure that this Mandate is up to date
Produce regular updates on the Group Risk Plan for review by the Risk Leadership Team
Lead the production and development of the Group Risk Scorecard (GRS) to effectively report on how the Group Risk function is performing against its Group Risk Plan
Responsible for management of operational capacity and resource deployment for the Group Risk function
Managing the agenda setting process for Group and Business Unit Board Risk Committees
Facilitation of ongoing assessment of key Risk function activities to support operational capacity considerations
Experience and attributes required:
Experience working in a financial services environment - Essential
Prior experience working in a governance, risk and/or compliance environment - Ideal
Ability to influence and communicate with all levels of stakeholder - Essential
Strong organisational, planning and prioritisation skills - Essential
