The Role

MTVH can provide full training to you if you have the desire and compassion to support older people to meet their personal needs with dignity and to live a full and included life.

You will be joining our care and support team supporting customers who live in our Extra Care services in Rushcliffe. Although you will have a named base, there is an understanding that some shift hours may be worked in other services, giving variety.

All the customers are older people, and you will support them to maintain a dignified standard of living and to live as independently as possible. Supporting our customers with their personal care needs is required but your focus is on encouraging inclusion and to be a significant support to our customers.

This training will ensure you provide personalised care and support services to our customers with dignity. This role does require you to work flexibly to ensure individual needs are met while maximising independence, choice, privacy, and well-being, in collaboration with the senior care and support workers/team leaders.

To meet our commitment to providing safe, high-quality services to our customers we will complete an enhanced background check with the Disclosure and Barring service, which will include a check of the Adult Barred list, once an offer of employment is made.

What you need to succeed

To be successful in this role.

Previous experience is ideal, and we are seeking individuals who can provide a caring and supportive service to our customers with dignity

You will demonstrate you understand what good support looks like which is appropriate to the age, gender, disability, race, religion, and sexuality of the customer to improve their quality of life and independence.

About Us

Our organisation was built on a simple mission - to give people a safe, secure, and affordable home. That is as true today as it was in the 1950 s, when our founder Molly Huggins established an organisation to provide homes for Windrush migrants in London. Our core purpose is that "everyone should have a home and the chance to live well" To fulfil this vision, we work with partners to make our neighbourhoods - new and old - sustainable and vibrant places, where our customers want to live. We put people at the heart of everything we do and to guide us in every decision we make. Through managing more than 57,000 households we work at a scale that means our actions to achieve this have real impact.

We firmly believe that by serving people better every day, we will support a healthier, better cared for, and more prosperous society in the future. Like our founders before us, we will leave a lasting legacy for future generations. Our colleagues are crucial to our success in achieving this. Therefore, we are committed to investing in colleagues and creating the opportunity for them to develop. Our working environment has been designed to be one that brings out the very best in people.

What you'll get in return

We also offer a wide range of benefits. Please take a look at our benefits document attached.
