During the COVID pandemic we did not furlough any of our staff. We worked together through the pandemic ensuring job security and sustainable long-term employment and commitment to our staff. We have in place a staff hardship support fund, which all staff can access in the event as we know we do, for those members of our family who may experience difficulties.

We recognise with our staff the resilience and commitment they make towards their work with our children and we also recognise that its ok not to be okay and have invested in our Mental Health support agenda for staff. This has enabled Cambian to keep and retain good staff. We have, during the height of the pandemic grown our business and portfolio and we are looking to continue with our growth plans over the next 3-5 years. This is an exciting time to join us at Cambian and to be part of our plans to develop children Services across the United Kingdom. Are you looking to make a real difference to the lives of others?

We are seeking residential care workers to join our experienced team at our well-established OFSTED registered homes located across the Stoke region. We are looking for you to join us in making a positive impact on the lives of the young people in our care.

The children in our care are between 8-18 years of age and have a range of complex needs - which may include emotional and behavioural difficulties. You will be asked to work alongside qualified care givers and clinicians in homely settings that care for no more than 4 young people at a time.

You will be involved in all aspects of their everyday life, such as household duties, transporting the children to school and other provisions, maintaining paperwork and enriching their lives through activities and supporting hobbies. This package of care, which you will play an important part, is aimed to support the development and the mental wellbeing of the children in our care.

Example of our shifts:

Three week rolling rota shared equally between the team, this will consist of a mixture of earlys late s and sleeps of 24hour shifts

There is of course some flexibility and our managers know how important a good work life balance is for their team. Having every third weekend off and splitting up the Saturday and Sunday shifts for a work life balance.

Duties:

Providing transport for the young people to access different provisions

Helping the young people access education

Household duties

Paperwork

Days out (e.g. social events, shopping, cinema, swimming)

Contacts, visit, key work meeting and therapy sessions
