This is a full time, permanent role based in Stoke on Trent working shifts Saturday and Sunday (6am until 6pm) with two 8 hour weekday shifts paying GBP13.68 with 15% shift allowence.

As a Deputy Production Team Leader, you will report to the Production Manager working as part of a team of 4 Team Leaders. Responsible for the supervision of shifts, standard of work, adherence to rules, Incident Management and Core Values behaviour.
Responsible for leading the Manufacturing team to execute production planning on time, in full, at cost, with high quality to serve customer requirements. You will apply the necessary Continuous Improvement tools and techniques to continuously improve the manufacturing processes, in compliance with QHSE and corporate policies to achieve agreed performance objectives. In addition you will manage and coach your team to engage employees and develop skills as well as a culture of continuous improvement.

The Deputy Production Team Leader is responsible for all shift activities related to a single multi-stage production line, including materials handling, foaming, cooling, cutting, packing, labelling and FLT handling. The role is very much the centre of the operational arena and will liaise with Planning, Process Engineering, Warehouse, Supply Chain, HSE, Quality and Engineering.

We are keen to hear from applicants with experience of leading a large production team with experience of managing a multi-stage process. You will have ability to coach and motivate these teams whilst achieving targets within timescales and quality standards. It is essential you have a Manufacturing or Engineering qualification or have worked in a manufacturing environment for 8 years ideally.

Good IT skills are required with experience in using Power BI or similar advantageous as well as knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques.
