A permanent, days based opportunity is available for a Quality Engineer near Crewe. This is a great opportunity to help develop the quality control processes and will pay cGBP40k.
Client Details
Currently a GBP12m turnover business, looking to grow to in excess of GBP20m turnover over the next 3-5 years. Previously a family-owned business however it was taken over near 5 years ago and is looking to diversify its product range in order to continue its growth trajectory.
Description
Reporting to the Quality Manager and working with a small team, the Quality Engineer you will be responsible for:
Assessing manufacturing processes to ensure they meet Company quality standards
Collating data to influence and demonstrate quality decisions, working closely with members of Senior Management
Identifying and managing continuous improvement opportunities
Carrying out 8Ds, 5Whys, PPAP, PFMEAs etc
Ensuring the correct paperwork is in place
Internal audits
Liaising with external agencies with regards to accreditation
Working closely with suppliers and customers to identify and solve problems quickly
Ad hoc projectsProfile
The successful Quality Engineer will:
previously have worked in a similar quality engineering position within manufacturing - ESSENTIAL
have working knowledge and understanding of IATF 16949 - ESSENTIAL
have good understanding of the quality tools and be able to apply these - ESSENTIAL
be a strong written and verbal communicator - ESSENTIAL
hold an engineering qualification or equivalent - HIGHLY DESIRABLEJob Offer
