Seeking an experienced Warehouse and Logistics Forklift Operator (Counterbalance) for a manufacturer based in Plymouth, to start ASAP on swing shift (week 1 6am - 2pm week 2 2pm - 10pm.

Please be advised that in order to be considered you must hold a valid and in date Counterbalance licence and driving license.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the receipt and dispatch of goods and also for maintaining the internal material flow within the organisation by liaising with departmental managers to support the manufacturing process of quality products within specific deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:
Utilising a forklift to move goods (mostly indoors)
Perform visual checks and the physical count of raw materials upon receipt and unpacking
Carry out cycle counting in accordance with the cycle count plan and procedure
Storage and picking of parts (medical and non-medical) to fulfil works orders and finished goods in accordance with the relevant procedure, ensuring first in first out of materials.
Support Team Leader in the achievement of SQCDE targets
Handling and storage of components
Booking in of incoming components and products.
The efficient labelling of components and storage
Adhering to general goods in and all ISO13485:2016 documentation requirements.
Receive component stock from production, and finished goods; book in and allocation within the Warehouse.
The generation of delivery notes, certificates of conformity, certificates of analysis and deliver labels in accordance with our quality standards.

The requirement to liaise with transport agencies such as DPD, DHL, TNT and FEDEX to ensure efficient and timely delivery of product to support customer demand.

Required Experience, Skills and Attributes:
Valid and in date Counterbalance licence gained through an external training provider.
Recent warehouse / forklift experience gained ideally from within a manufacturing environment.
Excellent product knowledge and manufacturing experience.
Able to effectively communicate within a diverse team.
Self-motivated and able to use own initiative.
Able to keep an open mind to change.
Ability to work under pressure.
Personal drive to succeed.
Driving company vehicles (Licence restrictions permitting)
Required to stand for extended periods of time and conduct manual handling techniques on a regular basis
Must have the ability to read, write and perform simple numerical calculations
