My Client is currently recruiting for a versatile Laboratory Technician required for Materials Testing.
The role will encompass a diverse range of Laboratory responsibilities, including general lab administration, a variety of different Lab tests and various other daily laboratory duties.
Whilst previous experience working within a Laboratory environment is preferable, it is not essential as we are looking for a keen team player who can learn on the job.
Important data entry will be a fundamental part of this role, so a keen eye for detail and accuracy is essential.
Data entry of important test results
Booking in work samples which require testing
Checking Customer specifications and liaising with production teams to ensure product is meeting their testing requirements.
Following stringent quality procedures to perform testing
Carrying out various Material tests throughout the lab
Liaise with the quality department to book in calibration or report equipment failure
Maintain good laboratory practice, maintenance of laboratory equipment and safe working procedures.
Always maintain good housekeeping standards. Keeping all areas clean, tidy, and free from obstruction and hazards.
Any other tasks assigned by your senior or lab manager Experience / Skills:
Educated to GCSE level or above with a good level of numeracy and literacy
Experience in laboratory administration or testing is advantageous but not essential
This is a temporary position estimated to last at least six months.
