Communications Officer & Administrative Support

Start: September 2022 (or as close to as possible)

Salary: Grade 5 SCP 11 – 15 £22,129 - £23,953 FTE

(Actual pro rata salary £19,352 - £20,947)

Location: Keynsham (near Bristol/Bath)

Contract: Full time 37 hours p/w

Term: Permanent, Term Time Only plus 4 days and all INSET days (the 4 additional days must be worked in the summer to support examination activity)

We require an organised and innovative individual to lead our communications strategy to ensure the school’s successes are effectively celebrated with all stakeholders. The successful candidate will be reliable, quick to learn and confident in their use of IT and online systems to promote the school through a wide range of strategies, such as events, website, social media and printed information. In their role, they will provide administrative support to the Senior Leadership Team, line manage the Communications and Administrative Assistant and work closely with a range of support and administrative support staff and will need to maintain confidentiality at all times.

Candidates must enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, be flexible in their approach to work, efficient and be able to manage a diverse workload and work to frequent deadlines. Experience of working in a school is desirable, but not essential; this would suit someone who already has experience of marketing and communication strategies.
