We are looking for a Production Assistant to join a small and growing manufacturing electronics company, based in Basildon. This is a full-time vacancy, with a starting salary of GBP22,000 - GBP24,000 per annum.
Reporting to the Production Manager, this is a developing role, whereby you will learn the duties of a Production Planner. With support this role will involve scheduling of works and coordinating plans to ensure the operation works effectively and on time. The Assistant Planner will also ensure machinery is being used effectively to maintain productivity levels in addition to the ordering and maintaining of consistent stock levels. The hours of work are Monday to Friday from 07:30 - 16:00, with a 13:30 finish on a Friday.
The requirements for this role
Have a working history within manufacturing or logistics
Ability to demonstrate organisational skills
Strong communication skills
Competent user of IT systems such as Microsoft excelResponsibilities
Working closely with the Production Manager to support with schedules of work
Collate data and report productivity levels back to the Production Manager
Create works orders and liaise with all departments from production to shipping
Understanding of basic costs and budgets to be able to analyse risks and update the Production Manager on efficiency's and productivity
