Potter Johnson Recruitment are pleased to be working together with a well established, family run children's service. Our client are a family run Social Care organisation providing support and accommodation to children and yound adults, with SEBD, in Herne Bay, Kent.

Our client, who are looking for a Team Leader, is a family-owned provider of residential services for children and young adults in the UK and they are looking for motivated, resilient, caring people who are driven by making a difference to work in their service for children and young adults with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties.

Duties and Responsibilities
To lead and motivate your team.
To prepare and operate a rota system that will ensure suitable levels of safety, security and care and oversight for the children cared for in your establishment.
To contribute to the Care Planning process of children cared for by the Family Care Group by: Attending and preparing for children s conferences, reviews, planning, core group and other meetings in connection with children placed with the Company
Ensuring that children s records are maintained accurately and within agreed timescales.

To supervise your team in accordance with the Company s supervision policies.
To be an active and positive member of the establishment s management team.
You
Previous Residential Childcare experience is essential - a minimum of 2 years (Not nursery/early years)
Possessing a Level 3 in Children's and Young People's Workforce is essential.
Be able to work on a shift/rota basis
Happy to undergo an enhanced DBS certificate upon appointment.
This is an established home. Our client are a rapidly growing service so the chance of promotiom, for those going the extra mile, is a definite.
The hours are 40 a week on a rolling rota basis, with 8-10 sleep ins a month (included in the salary stated):
A full UK driving licence is essential.
