Job location: Crewe, Cheshire

Hourly pay rate: £15.87 PAYE / £20.20 Umbrella

Shifts: 08:00AM – 16:00PM (early finish on the Friday)

Hours per week: 37 (potential for O/T)

Duration: Ongoing

Start date: August 2022

Position Summary:

Based within the Rolling Stock industry (Trains) we are currently recruiting for Mechanical Engineers to operate out of a Rolling stock depot based in Crewe, to carry out the Mechanical Overhaul of Rail Bogies. Candidates will be required to carry out the following duties:

• Bogie overhaul, damage repair and engineering
• Wheel set overhaul, repair and analysis
• Bogie chassis, damage repair and clean
• Gearbox engineering / repair
• Wheel exchange on wheel sets
• Bearing, axle and wheel mounting
• Components and sub-assemblies overhaul repair and analysis
• Re-engineering and production of spare parts

Person Profile/Experience:

Mechanical fitting and hand tool experience

You will be a highly self-motivated individual, able to work under your own initiative.

You will possess excellent communication & interpersonal skills.

You will need all-round knowledge of Mechanical Engineering

Qualifications:

Preferred but not essential
