Salary: Up to GBP29,700 per annum (pro-rata)

Contract Hours: Permanent, Part-Time - 22.5 hours a week. Flexibility is essential to work a variety of early and late shifts which will be required to meet the children and young people's needs, also some waking nights (on a rota)

Location: Ipswich, Suffolk.

About Us

We are looking to recruit a new team who will be delivering a service to support a residential intensive support service for children and young people aged 8 to 18 with disabilities and/or complex or challenging support needs. The young people may stay at the home on a full time basis, during which they will be encouraged to develop new skills to help them cope with the challenges that they encounter on a daily basis.

The service offers person centred residential support. The focus of which will centre around high-quality assessment of needs and support to make transitions into services that can maximise young people's life opportunities for their long-term future.

You will make a difference by:

As a Team Leader you will be supporting the Registered Manager to develop the home and lead a team of Residential and Assistant Residential Workers with supporting the children and their needs. This is an innovative and exciting opportunity to make a difference!

This is a 24 hour service, with an on-call facility, that operates 52 weeks a year.

What are we looking for from you?

A Level 3 Diploma for Residential Child Care (or equivalent) and experience of improving the lives of children and young people.

Commitment to helping children with complex needs and disabilities to thrive

Empathy and compassion.

Experience of taking on leadership responsibilities Flexibility to cover shifts including evenings and weekends.
