Job Description:
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to add to their existing team due to growth and expansion. Working in a busy and demanding environment producing 3D designs to meet client specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
The role will involve many exciting projects which are in the business pipeline. Helping to drive efficiency and support the move towards full parametric design and the implementation of BIM modelling.
Mechanical design of a range of control equipment, screening machinery and rotary equipment.
Producing general arrangement drawings, detail designs, bills of materials, support calculations and documentation.
Liaison with manufacturing to understand CAD/CAM processes and develop programs, tooling, and jigs.
Develop new and existing designs considering new materials and process methodologies.
Investigate improvements in the design or engineering capability of existing products.
Work as a team to promote continuous improvement processes for product design and manufacture.
Requirements:
Previous experience working as a Mechanical Design Engineer/Design Engineer or a similar role is essential.
Experienced in using software producing 3D designs/3D modelling using Solidworks, Autodesk, Inventor, Creo or similar is essential.
High standard in computer literacy.
Good communication, presentation, and written skills.
Accuracy and attention to detail.
Design, Value Engineering Principles and Material Analysis experience.
Knowledge of CAD/CAM/CAE and simulation techniques.
Knowledge of MRP/ERP systems.
Knowledge of the properties, characteristics, and processing behaviour of a variety of materials.
Remuneration/ package:
The salary is between GBP35,000.00 - GBP50,000.00 per year dependant on experience and qualifications
Company Pension available after completion of probationary period
Life insurance
25 days holiday + public holidays
The role is 37.5 hours per week, but overtime may be necessary to deliver certain projects from time to time
