About us

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity to join South Yorkshire Pensions Authority’s friendly and forward-thinking Finance and Corporate Services team. We are a growing public sector organisation with a team of around 100 staff who run the workplace pension scheme, managing a Fund of over £10 billion on behalf of employing organisations, including Local Authorities and other public / not-for-profit sector bodies.

About the role

Joining us as Business Support Officer, you will provide a customer focused service, carry out administrative duties of a financial nature and provide invaluable business support for teams and individuals across the Authority. You can look forward to a varied role, where your duties range from debt recovery, preparing invoices and setting up new suppliers, as well as purchasing stationery supplies and other office management tasks.

About you

With knowledge of financial systems and a strong attention to detail, you will have previous experience of working in a financial environment and carrying out finance related tasks. Organised, with great communication skills, you will be able to prioritise your own workload whilst working with your team to provide outstanding customer service.
