A local authority based in Droitwich are searching for an Administration Assistant to join their team on a temporary basis working 37 hours per week Monday - Friday.
As an Administration Assistant you will be responsible for:
- Attend meetings prepare minutes, agendas and reports.
- Organise site visits and other events and deal with any correspondence arising.
- Attend civic events or assist with any arrangements
- Receive and respond, and to issue correspondence and documents.
- Produce and manage contracts and framework agreements for goods and services, implement and supervise a regular maintenance programme for a variety of assets, this to include regular inspections.
- Manage effectively budgets and other allocated resources.
- Participate in multi-functional/multi-disciplinary projects and tasks.
As an Administration Assistant you will be required to:
- Have previous experience working in a democratic services capacity.
- Experience of letting and supervising contracts.
- Experience of applying for grants/external funding.
- Understanding of local government decision making processes, services and systems.
- Experience of working with the public/dealing with public enquires
- Experience managing budgets and finance.
- Experience of computer system, databases and using Microsoft Office, Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
The role of Administration Assistant will be working on a temporary - permanent basis working Monday - Friday, being paid GBP27.3k per year with the possibility of a permanent contract being offered to outstanding candidates after the completion of a 12-week period.
