Design Engineer
GBP47,000 - GBP53,000

As the Design Engineer you will provide high level technical support to other areas within the business assisting with customers issues.
The successful Design Engineer you will have a range of the following skills:
Develop design solutions from initial brief by creating layouts with verification by calculations including FEA techniques were appropriate.
Production of manufacturing drawings, including assemblies and specifications of the final design.
To control product realisation, including manufacturing aspects to achieve the most effective design.
To control and define product build definition to ensure that the component database remains precise.
To control engineering change and authorise concession of nonconforming product.
To provide technical engineering support to other areas of the business.
To manage in service product safety incidents including risk analysis and production of closing reports.
To investigate in service product failures and production of failure reports.
Key qualifications:
2D & 3D experience, specifically AutoCad, Iventor is desirable but any software is acceptable with a willing to want to train and develop yourself, training given.
Experience in heavy industry is preferable again not essential
