We currently have an exciting opportunity for an established Operations Manager to join our UK Coach team based in London Wandsworth. As an Operations Manager with National Express you will effectively plan, lead and manage all aspects of the operational provision at the depots in order to deliver a consistently reliable, safe, high quality and punctual service in line with specified targets, contractual obligations and commercial objectives.
What you'll do
Implement all local elements of the UK Coach business strategy
Ensure all drivers are safe and fit to be at work at all times
Continuously ensuring effective management of drivers and their performance is being applied
Ensure colleagues work together in consistently providing the required level and quality of service to both internal and external customers
Ensure all services operate safely and in strict accordance with all relevant policies, processes and legal requirements
Deliver service reliability, punctuality and quality to the customer to defined standards, ensuring that improvements are implemented where required through
Ensure that all customer and Stakeholder feedback is promptly and professionally received, investigated and responded to, and that this information is used as a management tool to drive continuous improvement
Support training delivery for colleagues
Deliver all aspects of the people strategy at local level; ensuring all employees receive appropriate training, induction, and personal development
What you'll need...
Excellent understanding of the road passenger transport sector, including all relevant legal and external regulations and requirements for the operation of passenger carrying vehicles
Excellent working knowledge of all daily site procedures, health and safety regulations, employment legislation, and people management practices
Experienced in managing and motivating a team to achieve high standards of performance
Flexible approach to working hours
Thorough appreciation of the needs of external customers and external stakeholders, coupled with the ability to identify areas for improvement and implement effective action plans
Must hold a managers' National CPC qualification
