About us:

Freelands tiles are an independent tile shop based in Sevenoaks. We pride ourselves on our excellent customer service reputation and wide range of unique products. We are looking for an enthusiastic full-time sales assistant to join our friendly team and help us continue to grow. Having a background in the industry would be beneficial but not essential as full product training will be provided.

Job Brief:

• Serving customers both retail and trade
• Dealing with requests for tile samples
• Taking orders and processing payments
• Monitoring stock levels and replenishing where necessary
• Answering incoming phone calls and e-mails
• Offering style and product advice to customers
• Checking and unloading deliveries
• Ensuring shop standards are aesthetically pleasing
• Confident and professional manner in dealing with a variety of different customer situation
• Data entry and order processing of online and telephone customer orders

*Please note this role requires a degree of heavy lifting.

Qualifications/Experience:

• Confident dealing with trade and retail customers
• GCSE or equivalent (Required)
• Driving Licence (Preferred)
• Knowledge in Tile, Bathroom or Kitchen sectors (But not a necessity)
• Sales/Customer Service experience (Minimum 2 years preferred)
• Focused and motivated with excellent communication skills
• Knowledge of social media and current trends is an advantage

Hours of work

• 40 hours a week inc weekends
• This can be flexible for the right person
• Overtime opportunities available
