Pertemps in Kettering are recruiting on behalf of our client, a Technical Warehouse Operative to work as part of the clients Kettering operations team.
Working in a unique environment you will be required to handle specialist products safely & accurately with a value more than GBP3 million at any one time. Operating in this complex environment, carrying out duties that require a high level of detail to remain compliant and ensure product quality is not compromised in anyway. As part of this role, you will be required to carry out several tasks within the distribution centre whilst following site processes & procedures, at times using purpose-built equipment. The role will require an enthusiastic individual with a positive approach and always working in a professional and safe manner.
Shifts:
Week 1, Monday to Friday 6am - 2pm
Week 2, Monday to Friday 11am - 7pm
Salary - GBP22,815.97 per annum increasing to GBP24,500 on successful completion of 6 months' probation period.
Warehouse Operations:
Carry out all warehouse operations in a safe manner, adhering to the company warehouse operations manual, processes & procedures.
Carry out sampling, testing & analysis to ensure the product meets the high-quality parameters set out
Responsible for the safe unloading of bulk materials, ensuring all HSE guidelines are followed & all environmental risks are controlled
Responsible for the safe, accurate handling & storage product
Awareness & accountability when handling expensive products, in excess of GBP300,000 per day
Using stringent batch control measures to ensure quality & compatibility is not compromised
Accurate preparation of customer orders, using a strict compatibility matrix to ensure the product is not compromised
Problem solving as & when required, investigating discrepancies using knowledge & understanding of batch & compatibility control
Investigate traceability queries, identify root cause and implement preventative measures if required
Completing quality assurance checks on specialist products
Qualifications
Educated to GCSE Standard
Experience in handling complex materials
Counterbalance and or Reach FLT licence
IT literate
Use of WMS systems
