Your new companyHays have been retained by a Highly Respected Top Tier Contractor to work in partnership in their search of a Civils Assistant Quantity Surveyor. Our client has a reputation as a leading building and civil engineering contractor. They are structured into three sub divisions including homes, healthcare and utilities. Due to continued success and a further increase in company growth a position is now available for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their Commercial Team.Your new roleReporting to a Senior Quantity Surveyor you will be assisting the commercial team in the control of costs, maximising value, minimising future liabilities and maintaining the required standard of quality on designated projects. The successful candidate will be an integral part of the project delivery team, assisting in the commercial management of civil engineering projects in NI and the UK worth up to GBP30m. What you'll need to succeedThe ideal candidate will be degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or stem from a construction related disciple. Due to the location of projects you will be expected to travel to the UK. You will have at least two years pre and post contract experience in a construction commercial management role. Experience in the Civil Engineering side of the construction industry would be an advantage but is not essential.
