Print Finisher

My client, established over 50 years ago are based in Basildon and are currently seeking experienced Print Finishers. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in print finishing (ideally within direct/transactional mail) and will be experienced in using equipment such as folders, Stitchers and Guillotines (or some combination of these) and be able to hit the ground running in a fast-paced environment.

The shifts for this role are 12 hour day shifts, 7 on 7 off, 6pm-6am. If you are unable to commit to working a permanent shift on this shift pattern, sadly we will be unable to consider you for this position.

The Role
- Produce work to the highest standards, obtaining maximum output and ensuring procedures and pass sheets are followed at all times
- To communicate with the finishing manager in a timely manner
- Liaise with fellow operators for handovers / any arising issues
- Keeping a clean and tidy workspace at all times
- Completion of any relevant worksheets and accurate recording of KPI's
- To gain an understanding of the Management Information Systems and use them accurately to report back to the planning department

The Candidate
- Has previous experience in a similar role (essential)
- Is experienced in using guillotines, folders and general finishing equipment
- Is flexible with a positive attitude towards work
- Is comfortable working on a permanent night shift pattern

Shifts
The shifts for this role are 7 on 7 off and are 12 hour shifts, permanent day shifts.

Salary
The hourly rate for this position is GBP14.50-GBP15.50 per hour, based on experience.
