We re recruiting a SEN Traineeship Tutor to join our Team. With an excellent understanding of young learners needs, our successful candidate will be responsible for supporting them through the learner journey to help them recognise their potential. You ll also be able to manage learning situations using flexible, student-centred approaches.

Our successful candidate will have experience of working with SEN provision and traineeships, as well as a Level 3 professional teaching qualification. You ll be a highly organised individual with excellent communication skills and have a keen interest in developing SEN programmes and curriculum.

In return for your dedication, knowledge, and commitment, we re offering a competitive salary range GBP24,325 - GBP28,625 pa (dependent on experience) with these great benefits:

Key Responsibilities

•Design, deliver, and evaluate our SEN Skills offer to meet the needs of the employer
•Provide advice and guidance to learners on the requirements of the curriculum and assessment.
•Liaise with and maintain key stakeholder relationships with the employer and relevant partner organisations
•Work closely with the Job coach to assist in the recruitment, induction and assessment of learners.
•Proactively review learner feedback during and after programme to ensure provision is meeting the needs of learners and progressing them towards their educational goals
•Ensure appropriate quality assurance mechanisms are implemented
•Undertake regular CPD activities to maintain professional competency

Skills and Experience

Essential
•Strong background in teaching and learning with experience of SEN provision
•Minimum L3 professional teaching qualification (PTLLS, AET)
•Proven experience of engaging and retaining hard to reach learners.
•Experience of initial and diagnostic assessment tools for functional skills
•Experience of delivery in the classroom and the workplace to young learners and adults.
•L2 Functional Skills English and Maths.
•Knowledge and experience of portfolio and assessment-based teaching and learning
•Ability to work flexibly to fulfil the demands of the role.

Desirable
•Assessor and/or verifier awards (CAVA, TAQA)
•IAG qualification L3
•Experience of delivering supported traineeships/internships over a 12 month period
