YOUR ROLE

.Due to continued growth within the Leonardo MW Helicopters contract we have a full Time vacancy for a Packaging Designer based at the Houndstone Spares Support, Yeovil. Reporting to the Design Manager you will be responsible for processing of deliveries and associated workloads:

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Preparing packaging specifications and drawings to Defence and Mil Standards for MOD and Commercial Customers.
Preparing material schedule/stores requisition sheets from packaging specifications and drawings.
Liaise with and visit customers to ascertain there packaging requirements, ensuring that all communication with customers is carried out in a professional and efficient manner.
Prepare packaging solutions, understanding costs as expressed in both time and money.
Ensure that all tasks are completed within set time scales.
Drafting and editing of drawings using CAD systems. (Beneficial but training can be given)
Referencing, recording and distributing required detail from relevant IT systems.
Operate Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and carry out other assigned computer based tasks as required
Ensuring all work meets with customers' specifications, the production plan and the required quality standard.
Ensuring, that at all times, the Company's Health & Safety procedures are adhered to, in particular, the use of machinery and protective devices.
Participate and actively pursue good communications between the team and other departments.YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES

Specific in-house training will be given in regards to:

Commercial and MoD Designs
Quality conformance
Track Pack IT Systems
KNPS / SC21 Improvement
SAP
AutoCAD

Relative design experience desired.
Applicants should be flexible and willing to learn with a positive outlook toward the working environment.
Demonstrate a good practical knowledge of computers.
Demonstrate good communication skills between team and management.
Possess excellent time management and prioritization skills.
