The role is at a Safety Consultant level and will provide consultancy services for our customers (external and internal) and contributes to the Expleo Engineering UK businesses further development and growth.
The role will involve some UK travel (and some overseas travel) to support Expleo Engineering UK customers onsite, developing and implementing through life support strategies on complex programmes.
The holder is responsible for the management and delivery of project/task outputs, as directed by the Capability Manager.
Technical review of Capability Group outputs;
On time and to budget delivery of project/task outputs;
Support to bids, proposals, analysis and report writing;
Development of support requirements, strategies and solutions;
Assist the Capability Manager with recruiting talent to fill vacant and/or newly established positions;
Engage and coordinate with other Capability Managers, Project Managers and Heads of Departments across the business.
Provide reports on productivity and other performance indicators to the Capability Manager (and/or Project Manager for project specific tasks);
Assist the Capability Manager with developing new capability to meet new and emerging market demands;
Skills and experience:
Degree qualified in an engineering discipline.
Relevant Experience in a safety engineering discipline.
Professional Registration at CEng level highly desirable.
Formal training in the management of safety compliance for UK Defence programmes.
Extensive experience in the application of safety engineering management and support to large scale complex programmes for UK MOD and/or industry across the land, sea and/or air domains;
Extensive experience in successfully managing and delivering safety engineering programmes;
Experience in conducting Hazard & Safety Risk Analysis;
Experience in successfully managing multidiscipline technical teams.
In-depth knowledge of Defence Standards (Def Stan 00-051 and 00-056).
In-depth knowledge of DSA02-DMR and other DSA publications on Health, Safety and Environmental Protection as appropriate to role.
In-depth knowledge of ASEMS, POSMS and POEMS processes.
Good knowledge of the UK MOD procurement processes
