GENERATIONS MULTI ACADEMY TRUST

Your Role:
The Finance Manger’s role is fundamental to the Trust being able to deliver on its aspirations. Reporting to the CFO, you will take full ownership of our centralised finance function, leading the small team of two and ensuring accurate and timely transaction and payroll processing. You will deliver intelligent and meaningful financial reports to the leadership teams and the Trust Board. This to ensure that they stay abreast of the financial position of the Trust as a whole, but also to enable them to make sound decisions based on accurate and timely information. You will necessarily ensure the delivery of all statutory financial compliance requirements of the Trust. Strategically, you will look to the future, improving processes and systems within the function, as well as more widely being at the centre of the annual business planning process that is fundamental in underpinning the delivery of our development plans.
You:
You will be a solutions orientated self-starter, who is commercially savvy and able to balance risk versus reward. An excellent communicator, you will be able to explain complex issues to non technical stakeholders in a simple way. A strong leader with influencing skills, balanced with empathy, you will be a confident presence with the ability to challenge candidly. You will be grounded, with good interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach, a partnership mindset and the ability to build strong cross-functional relationships. You will take ownership with resilience of the delivery of your function for the Trust, proactively seeking continuous Improvement through creativity. Seeking to invest in yourself and your future, you will have an appetite for learning and personal development. The importance of this role to the Trust is such that you must be a qualified accountant (CPFA, AAT, ACCA CIMA) or equivalent.
Package:
This exciting role within our forward-thinking Trust with ambition to grow, commands a salary between £50,653-£54,884, with 28 days annual leave rising to 30 days after 5 years. Job share arrangements and flexible working are all possible for the right candidate.
