£18,393 - £18,761 per annum (FTE) Scale 2

The Foundation Learning Department is for learners with Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities (SEND), barriers to learning and/or Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties (SEMH). The provision is based across three campuses, Bridgwater, Cannington and Taunton and offers high-quality tailored programmes designed to meet the individual needs of learners.

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dynamic Kitchen Technician to maintain and support our Catering and Independent Living Kitchens across Foundation Learning. The role will include the day-to-day maintenance, health and safety and cleanliness of the kitchens. It will also support to the teaching team to enable them to implement and deliver practical Catering and Cooking sessions in the kitchens.

The successful candidate will have good organisation skills, good practical cookery/catering skills and the ability to always work to high industry standards in the learning environment. Knowledge of the daily management and maintenance of industrial and domestic kitchen spaces is essential with a good knowledge of health and safety within these environments. Experience with record keeping and basic IT skills together with a clean driving licence would be an advantage
