Our client is long-established and privately-owned specialist engineering company based in Benfleet, Essex. The company is a leader in its field, developing, designing, and supplying niche manufacturing systems and equipment for a worldwide clientele. The company s in-house equipment manufacturing facilities comprise of both mechanical and electrical workshops.
With continuing high demand for their equipment from around the world, they are now seeking a skilled, experienced Electrical Technician to join their small electrical workshop team on a full time permanent basis.
Our client is hoping this role will appeal to an enthusiastic individual who likes working within a small electrical workshop. They must be adaptable and able to work closely with others, have good communication skills and a sense of humour. If the individual is prepared to lend a hand in other areas of the mechanical workshops when workload demands, this would be an advantage. Our client is a small, friendly business where everyone is on first name terms so this role would certainly appeal to an all-round personality.
Duties and Responsibilities
Assembly and wiring of electrical control panels, transformer power racks, electronic and other equipment.
Read and work from electrical drawings and wiring diagrams.
Production of in-house component parts for the company s electrical/electronic and other equipment.
Testing of electrical/electronic and other equipment.
Recommending improvements in methods and procedures to enhance product quality, and operational efficiency.
A willingness to provide occasional on-site support if required.
Required Skills & Experience
Formal Electrical/Electronic Qualifications
Previous control panel assembly and wiring experience
Experience reading and working from electrical drawings and wiring diagrams is essential.
Electrical testing
Mechanical assembly experience (desirable)
A good understanding of workshop health and safety
Excellent communication skills
The client is offering a competitive salary, a discretionary annual bonus based on company and individual performance, 31 days annual holiday including bank/public holidays, and participation in the company s pension scheme on completion of a probationary period
