An exciting permanent opportunity to join a busy IT Support team in the West Sussex area as 1st Line level IT Service Desk and Desktop Support.
You will be responsible for dealing with technical support requests from all users within the business and liaising with other more senior Systems Support Engineers on more technical queries, both over the phone and providing desktop support.
This role would suit either, someone that has a minimum of one year experience in a 1st Line level role and looking to progress their career. Or if you haven't had the chance to gain actual commercial experience as yet and may be a more Junior level candidate looking to start a career in IT Support and have a passion for fixing PC's. If you have some kind of IT qualification or training, it would be great to hear from you as full training will be provided.
Excellent customer service and communication skills are a must for this role.
Please note: The hours are Monday to Friday, 8-4 and 10-6 on a flexible rota basis and an Agile way of working is on offer, where some days can be working from home.
Duties to include:
Helping end users solve technical issues with their computers - hardware and software
Resolving queries and passing on more technical issues to a higher line support, taking responsibility for the call.
Logging requests over e-mail and the telephone
Documenting systems and procedures
Working to a ticketing system
Documenting technical solutions to assist the rest of the wider IT Team
Experience and skills required:
A minimum of one year 1st Line IT Support/Helpdesk experience
Or - a more Junior candidate with no commercial experience but a passion for fixing computers and resolving IT queries.
Outstanding Customer service experience
Clear and concise communication skills over the telephone an e-mail
MS Windows (10) trouble shooting experience and MS Office 365 experience is required
Troubleshooting of hardware and fault diagnosis
Any knowledge of GDPR is beneficial
Experience of supporting Apple Mac's is advantageous
Knowledge or experience of working within a Windows Azure domain is beneficial
