Our client is a great place to work. They pride ourselves on building strong collaborative relationships locally, regionally and nationally. They are passionate about not only providing housing and building new homes in Stockport, but helping to transform the lives of their customers. They aim to provide comfortable and affordable homes and engage customers and communities.

They are looking to recruit a Carecall and Concierge Officer to provide 24/7 support to their customers to live independently in their own home, while helping them to feel safe and secure, knowing help is at hand if needed.

A typical day as a Carecall and Concierge Officer (CCO) could involve:

  • Attending to a person in their own home, who has had a fall, and using specialist lifting equipment to help them up

  • Monitoring the vast network of CCTV in Stockport and dealing with issues proactively as they arise

  • Working with Police, Ambulance Crews and Social Services as well as internal departments and your colleagues

  • Dealing with Out of Hours Repairs

  • Promoting Telecare and the range of benefits it provides our customers with.

Our clients idea candidate will:

Essential

  • Be able to approach situations with a caring manner and be able to engage with people to build trust

  • Be adaptable to different work types and possessing the skills to work across varied tasks at the same time

  • Work collaboratively with the team and colleagues from other services

  • Be resilient and able to work under pressure, in a fast-paced emergency led service

Desirable

  • Be experienced in a home support role

  • Be experience in monitoring CCTV, Alarms and Access requests

Due to the nature of the role, you would be required to hold a full UK driving licence but you wouldn’t need access to their own car.

As the service supports over 6500 people in Stockport, whatever their emergency, it has to operate a full 24hr, 7 day a week, 365 days a year service. This means their family of CCOs work a 3-shift rolling pattern to provide the right levels of cover, whatever day of the year it is!

At Carecall Concierge they appreciate how important it is to their team members to know their shifts as far ahead as possible and work / life balance is a key principle of the rotas they work to.

The shifts involved are a selection of early (6.45am-2.45pm), late (2.30pm-10.30pm) and nights (10pm-7am). After induction, you will be issued with a 16-week rolling rota which sets out your working pattern.

Our client is an equal opportunities employer and positively encourages applications from suitably qualified and eligible candidates regardless of sex, race, disability, age, sexual orientation, gender reassignment, religion or belief, marital status, or pregnancy and maternity.

The successful applicant's appointment will be subject to satisfactory clearance by Disclosure Scotland and satisfactory enhanced employment references going back 5 years.
