At Labcorp Drug Development in Harrogate, North Yorkshirewe are looking to recruit an Operations Assistant to join our expanding Animal Facility team .
Job responsibilities include:
• Preparation and maintenance duties within the vivarium including surgical facilities, by ensuring highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness in aseptic environment.
• Responsible for all surgical instruments care, cleaning, preparation and autoclaving for surgical events.
• Ability to set up equipment, undertake stock control, ordering consumables including veterinary medicines.
• Communication with relevant members of the team, flexibility to meet timelines.
• Support team by performing basic husbandry tasks

• The Operations Assistant will work Monday to Friday (possibly with a 7am start) and may be required to work additional hours (including weekends) and receive excellent rates of pay.

• Basic Literacy and Numeracy skills
• The ability to learn and have empathy with the animals, as well as the capability to develop the requisite skills
• Previous experience of working with or handling animals is beneficial
