About Us

Ruby’s Fund is a charity that supports families of children and young people with mixed abilities within Cheshire East.

Our services cover a diverse range of support services which aim to provide targeted and coordinated support for children and families, with a specific focus on early intervention and prevention. The aim is to provide creative solutions to maintain and improve emotional, physical and mental wellbeing, ultimately reducing the risk of families going into crisis because of their new caring responsibilities.

We’re now on the lookout for a SEND Family Support Coordinator – someone to lead a team of volunteers and wellbeing staff, support parent carers to improve their health and wellbeing and ensure we deliver outstanding SEND support services.

About You

We’d like our SEND Family Support Coordinator to have proven family support skills, including low level mental health support. You’ll bring experience of supervising wellbeing staff and volunteers and be able to build a network of relationships in other support agencies across statutory and third sector organisations.

Self-motivated and with a positive ‘can-do’ attitude, you’ll have a working knowledge and experience of Safeguarding and risk assessments and be able to identify emerging issues at a local level, looking at creative ways to meet need. With a good understanding of local authority referral pathways, you’ll have experience of attending multi-disciplinary meetings and understand the roles of workers within Health, Education and Care. We’d also like you to be competent in MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams and have experience of writing reports.

A full clean UK driving licence and access to a car is essential.

So, if you have a genuine passion to support our families in need and think you can be an excellent ambassador for Ruby’s Fund, then we would be delighted to hear from you!

The post hours are likely to be flexible and negotiable, based on a monthly rota which includes weekends and occasional evenings.

All job offers are subject to satisfactory references and enhanced DBS checks.
