Telent Technology have an exciting opportunity for a Vehicle Installation Technician (Vehicle Installation Technician / Vehicle Maintenance Technician) to join our Network Services team, serving the London Ambulance Service and Emergency Services fleet. This role is based within the Inner M25 region, which includes all London Ambulance Service sites across the Inner M25 region.

Field based role with WFH flexibility - applicants must be a holder of a full UK driving license and flexible to travel when required.

Vehicle Technician - Role Profile

As the Vehicle Technician, you will be required to undertake planned maintenance and fault rectification for a range of communication systems in Emergency Service vehicles.
Based within the inner M25, the role will be maintaining the London Ambulance Service fleet, ensuring vehicle downtime is kept to a minimum.
The work is undertaken on customer premises and/or within our designated workshop in Canning Town.
You will be required to participate in a 24/7 shift on a 1 in 3 basis upon successful completion of training.
You will be responsible for the installation and commissioning of Mobile Data Terminals and GPS systems for new builds as well as the existing fleet.
You will need to ensure you maintain your spares efficiently, monitor the movement of assets between maintenance stock and the designated vehicle to be as efficient as possible.Vehicle Technician - Typical Deliverables

Experienced in Vehicle Installation in a Blue Light / Emergency Services environment (DESIRABLE)
Familiar with multiple vehicle types from a car to a van to HGV
Able to install vehicle electronic equipment in a timely manner to meet the customer expectations
Installation experience with TETRA and Windows based Mobile Data Solutions (DESIRABLE)Business Operations Skills - Qualifications

FITAS / FCS1362 Accredited (DESIRABLE)
Good IT skills
City & Guilds/NVQ in electronics / vehicle mechanicsExcellent Employee Benefits:
