My client is an established, reputable, customer-centric Financial Services business, specialising in the provision of finance to businesses across the UK. The business has been around for over 30 years with a small team and a inclusive and supportive culture.

They are now looking for an experienced Sales Support individual to join their team based in Bury. You will be responsible for processing all new business proposals within agreed timescales, effectively communicating with both internal and external customers. You will take responsibility and ownership of accounts and to book transactions with a high degree of accuracy. This is a fast paced role in what can be a pressurised environment with deadlines so requires good verbal and written communication, numeracy and organisation skills. Full training will be provided but we are looking for someone with either direct relevant skills or transferrable skills. This is a full time, office based role.

Responsibilities of the Financial Services Sales Support include;

  • Processing new business proposals received from suppliers, brokers or direct customers.
  • Obtaining the required information from the proposal source to support the deal and when required request additional supporting information.
  • Perform all relevant searches including Credit reference agencies, land registry and background checks.
  • Prepare the proposal to be underwritten.
  • Advise the supplier, broker or customer of the outcome of the application, which may include rate negotiation.
  • Complete and check all documentation to be sent to the customer and check them upon return.
  • Process all documentation, invoices, delivery checks when ready for payout in a timely manner.
  • Liaise with introducers to manage outstanding proposals and convert to live agreements.
  • Deal with adhoc sales requests for quotes and where possible maximise sales opportunities.
  • Process incoming post.
  • Answer telephone calls.
  • Provide support to other areas of the business to cover for busy periods, sickness or holidays.
  • Any other reasonable tasks at the request of the company management.

Key Skills/Behaviours of the Financial Services Sales Support:

  • Must be self motivated and be able to work on own initiative.
  • Work well within a small team whilst working independently.
  • Have good communication skills, both written and verbal and have excellent telephone manner.
  • Be able to build positive professional working relationships.
  • Good numeracy skills and be confident working with numbers.
  • Be hard working, proactive and enthusiastic.
  • Good time management skills and able to prioritise workloads to ensure targets are met.
  • High attention to detail and high levels of accuracy.

Requirements of the Financial Services Sales Support:

  • Knowledge of the leasing industry preferred but not essential.
  • Experience performing credit searches preferred.
  • Working in a sales support environment would be advantageous.
  • IT literate.
  • Organised and methodical.

As a result, you will be rewarded with a fantastic salary of up to GBP25,000 + GBP2,000 bonus and will be working with a great supportive, experienced team.
