Social Media Manager

So if you join us what exactly will you be doing? - The role

At Vercida Group we are looking to expand our marketing team and we need someone to fill this vital role. Initially the work carried out will be to promote both Vercida Group and any content on behalf of Vercida's clients. (The mid to long term plan is to separate the communications into two distinct areas for Vercida Group and Vercida's clients.)

The main aspect of the job will be to produce external communications using social media, PR and email marketing. There will also be an element of internal communications required.

As with all communications roles although we have set working hours you will need to be flexible to work outside these hours when required.

Our business is growing, so although there is an outline of the role you can make it your own as we love to encourage freedom of thought and suggestion. If you think we have missed something that you can bring to the role don't be shy in coming forward.

OBJECTIVES

• To raise the profile of Vercida Group
• Help support sales and account managers in reaching their sales targets
• Create social media and email campaigns requested from clients and for Vercida Group to support the marketing team
• To maintain an agreed tone of voice for Vercida which is consistent throughout all communications

Roles & responsibilities

• You will design and develop the implementation of a strong social media strategy (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn)
• You will evaluate any social media and PR campaigns to continually produce effective strategies
• You will appoint agencies to support the role (this will not happen in the initial six months)
• Mange the press office
• You'll communicate to employees updating them on any external communications (via email initially but eventually via an internal newsletter)
• You will work with the marketing team to action social media and PR campaigns in line with the marketing plan
• You will communicate with sales and account managers to create content to help generate more business. This includes attending trade, PR or customer-focused events.
• You will provide communication training for employees.
• You will be responsible for the quality of content that goes out on social media and through PR.

What you'll need to succeed

• You have exceptional writing and editing skills. Your attention to detail means that the content that Vercida publishes is consistently to a high standard.
• You're flexible and focused. You understand that you may come in to work planning to do one task but then having to prioritise other tasks.
• You're a true team player - ready to roll up your sleeves and support your colleagues even when it's 'not your job'
• You're social media savvy. You've worked on successful social media strategies in the past.
• You're experienced at crisis management and handling sensitive issues.
• You're passionate about diversity, equality and inclusion.
